Memorial Day Weekend

Alex and I were super lucky to be able to spend the weekend doing a huge variety of relaxing things. Saturday Alex had to work, as usual, but then when he got home. We went to the Georgia mountains to visit with friend’s we’ve not seen in months.

The guys kibitzed and grilled some amazing food. (Of course I now have strange hankerings for home-made Salsa, which requires Alex to grill more at home.)

The two ladies in this lovely photo made a delicious Apple Pie.

Me, I just drank some wine and snapped photos. Hence being the odd one out in photos. I’m the local paparazzi. (you know, annoying and yet necessary to capture the fun times)

Sunday, Alex and I wanted some couple time / reconnect time so we headed up to TN and the great bookstore otherwise known as McKay’s! Alex was able to find several CD’s he’s wanted and we only forked out $1.15 after our trade-in credits were account for. After our great hunt we decided to go get lunch.

So we went for broke (really, this was a wonderful meal, but requires budgeting) and had lunch at the always amazing and delicious J. Alexander. (Alex tried to get a discount on account of his name. They disagreed with his thought process…party poopers.)

Then, on the way home we headed to Lookout Mountain. We didn’t really stop much, but we sure enjoyed the cool air. I think we’re planning on going up again soon to SEE ROCKY CITY!! (And I just may buy a bird house that says you should see it too.) Am I right dear?

Monday we ended up at the pool enjoying summer and all it has to offer. Thank you Summer for being so wonderful!
