Photo Books vs Photo Albums

Do you have wedding photos? Are they displayed?

We have five different wedding albums full of unedited proofs. They sit together on our shelf gathering dust. I also have a copy of every single photo in JPEG format on a hard drive. Plus the copyright ability to reproduce and edit the pictures as many times as I want.

So here’s the thought process. What do we do with these photos? So many people make wedding books now but don’t those just sit on the table gathering dust in that location? I’m not sure if that is what we should do or not. I mean, we’re only a few months out from our second anniversary now. Isn’t it kind of a moot point by now?

I guess I am just at a loss as to what to do with our photos above and beyond the ones we’ve already displayed. Seems kind of silly to keep posting our wedding photos, but its the last ones we’ve had done by a professional.

What would you do?

Save them for your kids and their kids. I love looking at my Grandparent’s pictures from long ago.

Oh we want to save them no doubt about that. Its how should we display them and should we do anything above and beyond what we have now that remains the question. No one ever looks at them as they are now.

  2. I got married in the dark ages where prints were the only option so we had to choose the best and they’re all in one album. Every year on our anniversary we get it out and go through it with the kids. It’s fun. :)

I love that you look over them every year. That’s something Alex and I should consider doing just so we can “remember” the time.

  3. I do take out my album every now and then. I don’t ever look at the proofs.

Glad you didn’t stay away from home long!

  4. I have precious few wedding photos and I treasure them. They’re kept in my cedar chest and we take them out a couple of times a year. My kids have enjoyed them over the years. We’ve been married 36 years this November. I made small albums for myself from each of my children’s weddings. I keep those in my living room and will gladly share them at any opportunity.

Thanks for visiting from SITS. Come back any time. You are always welcome.

Aww 36 years is such an inspiration! I love that y’all still look over the photos each year too, definitely a habit Alex and I need to pick up on.

~Thanks for stopping and visiting me back. :) I sure hope you’ll visit again soon.
