A Blogger’s Nightmare

A couple of weeks ago I told y’all about the meds my doctor put me on to help with a ton of stress I’ve been experiencing. Y’all I feel like a freaking medical cabinet most days, but they are helping.

Like any good doctor after a few weeks she wanted me to come back after a few weeks just to review things and at that appointment she decided I would be best on a slightly different combo. No big deal right? So as I’m leaving she warns me “This new medication causes vivid dreams.”

I didn’t worry because y’all I already dream in color. You could ask Alex, I dream every night and in pretty vivid intensity. Y’all these meds are INSANE! I dream full technicolor movies now. (If only I could sleep-write, I’d a new movie manuscript a night.)

Last night however had me freaked out and laughing at myself at the same time. My dream? Why that I blogged about a topic and then logged into the Facebook page only to see ZERO followers. Then I logged into twitter to chat and again ZERO followers. Then I checked my comments and y’all told me to stop blogging.

Truly a blogger’s nightmare!

I cracked up at myself because really? What kind of crazy dreamer am I? The truth is yes, I blog for myself but like any blogger I love comments. I love the feedback and interaction but even without it I would still blog. Blogging is my outlet. So it was a nightmare but it was a dang silly one!

Do y’all dream vividly? (Perhaps not as vividly as me on meds but ya know what I mean!)

Would never tell you to stop blogging ;) I just found your blog :) .

Yes, I’ve always dreamed that way, mostly due to anxiety. It is freaky sometimes, I totally agree.

I’ve never had nightmares and seldom remember I’ve even dreamed.
    Maybe I don’t sleep deeply enough…….
    Have never had vivid dreams.
Glad your dr is monitoring your meds, and also very glad they are helping! You are lucky to have a dr. who will try to even things out for you.

  3. I do dream vividly. Mostly I like it. I’m leaving a comment for sure today because I don’t want to be the cause of any nightmares for you tonight. :)

Aww Mindee you could never cause nightmares, tears if you hate me but not nightmares! Luckily you don’t hate me so we can share imaginary pie and coffee.

Yes, I am a very vivid dreamer. It was a couple of years before I believed my husband when he told me he didn’t dream (or at least doesn’t remember them). The idea of NOT having detailed dreams on a regular basis is just weird to me, LOL.

  5. I had bad vivid dreams when I took melatonin to help with sleeping. They were very crazy. I hope your dreams get better! And best wishes with your fertility!

Thanks Caren and the dreams have gotten less frequent but I’ve also stopped taking the meds every night. However next time I need a blog topic I guess I could always take one!

Oh honey, you know I do!

  7. I used to have dreams where I imagined the ceiling was falling and I’d actually get up to check.
