Things I am Thankful For…

What a week. Already.

Its November y’all, heck, its November 9th which means Thanksgiving is only a week and a half away! That just blows my mind and yet it reminds me of how much I should be thankful for the many things we have.

You see in the last two weeks we’ve experienced a lay off, and more recently the dreaded health emergency. It is just those two things that make me realize that I am thankful for.

I am thankful for the grump coughing on our couch right now. Yesterday’s rather exhausting visit to the ER made me very grateful that we were able to come home at the end of the day and sleep beside one another.

I am thankful for free WiFi. Turns out the hospitals now offer free WiFi which blows my mind and yet makes me grateful because I was able to stay with Alex and continue to work which is very important right now.

I am thankful for a college age brother who decided to skip class to make sure I had a chance to grab something to eat. (I know a college kid who sacrificed going to class for his sister and brother-in-law. Amazing!)

I am thankful for family who are willing to come help at a moment’s notice. I realize not everyone is lucky enough to have the ability to help like that or to have help close by like that and it makes me all the more grateful for having it in my life.

I am thankful for a job that does allow me to pay all the bills and handle an ER trip without completely losing my mind. Its half gone but you know, can’t do much about that!

Lastly, I am thankful for little fuzzy beings like this. Who for some odd reason want to help me type on the computer.

Get popsicles for both of you. They are great to settle your stomach. Pedialyte also comes so you can freeze it like popsicles according to my massage girl.

Honestly by this point we were so sick we couldn’t keep ice chips down so no way would a popsicle have sat well on our tummies.

Thanksgiving is a week and a half away?! What?! Oh my gracious, how did I not realize how quickly it was creeping up on me?? Haha!

Great post, lady. Love your thankful heart :)

  4. I am thankful for my health and my family and the fact that I have income in these tough times (meager though it may be) and that I have one beautiful child. Even if I never had another, she would be enough!
