I swear I had good intentions, truly I did. However, it’s now 7:15 p.m. on Monday and I’m just now typing my next blog post. I can’t seem to catch up y’all and I’m sorry for that.
In an effort to answer the questions from last week I had to cull down my mess of books. I went from a massive mess on the floor…
…to a massive mess on our guest bed. However, whether you can believe it or not, the mess on the bed is only about half the books from the pile on the floor. That pile has been neatly organized and placed on my bookshelves in appropriate author and book series order.
I also decided to use up some bananas before they went bad and made some banana bread based on an old recipe I can remember my Dad using for the longest time. I’ll post that up here later this week since its super easy and mostly involves “dump everything in a bowl and smush together” type directions.
(My favorite kind – they require no actual skill.)
Then since I wanted even MORE to do (I’m beginning to notice I don’t actually get the concept of weekends) I helped Alex move our bedroom furniture around. In part because I have 5 nasty bruises on my left thigh from how the treadmill and our bed frame were before, in part because I just wanted a change.
Somehow this is a huge improvement in my brain.
Unfortunately by this point I got lazy and forgot to 1. write any blog posts 2. take photos of the 5 books and 3. well do much laundry. As noted by the basket in this photo.
I don’t know what the mental trap is my brain keeps falling into on weekends, but man I need to climb out.
How was your weekend?
