This photo sums up how I feel in a lot of ways, and while at first glance it might seem a tad erm….creepy? A tad creepy, yes, if you look at it with the right mindset you’ll see how happy this image really is.
So without further ado (Thanks Savannah, GA Art students for providing me a wonderful graffiti artwork to photograph)!
So far I’m doing pretty darn good on this Photo A Day stuff. Here is this weeks recap:
Day 8 is a look inside my wallet
Day 9 is a younger me. Well a younger me I’m willing to share – this is my college graduation photo from 2006.
Day 10 is something cold.
Day 11 is where I eat breakfast. And um I don’t but I drink coffee every morning. Does this count?
Day 12 is a photo of stairs.
Day 13 is something I found. And this is the BEST bumper sticker – pay attention to the heart.
Lastly, Day 14 is how I feel. The night before I took this photo I finished my nice gift from the Easter Bunny.
This has been a crazy week. Seriously y’all, its been freaking nuts. I need to sit down and really flesh out what has been happening in a proper blog post, but in the meantime I thought I’d share with you my Photo A Day April pictures. I do this based on the photo ideas from FatMumSlim.

So Day 1: My Reflection, I honestly don’t love this photo, but here you are.
Day 2: Color – this is my lunch box that my Mom found me for Christmas. I LOVE it because its so darn happy.
Day 3: Mail – hey yea. Work mail baby.
Day 4: Someone who makes you happy – as if y’all don’t recognize my favorite nerdy Russian!
Day 5: Tiny – this was kind of hard, but I finally decided on the Angel charms that hang from my rear view mirror were perfect. (What its ATL traffic. You need every bit of help you can get to survive.)
Day 6: lunch – that’s right I eat Ramen. Be jealous baby.
Day 7: Shadow – I do have big hips, but I swear they aren’t this big. Or oddly shapped. No this is me in the morning with a purse, lunchbox, and laptop case in hand.
As part of my Christmas gifts I received some cash. I decided to use that money and splurge on a camera bag that was fancy enough for me to wear out to dinner with Alex and not look like I was hauling around a camera bag the entire night.
(And yes I am just now getting around to talking about my Christmas gift.)
I looked at several different sites trying to decide on a bag before deciding to go with JoTotes.
I went with the Rose bag in Marigold in part because I really love yellow and in part because I wanted something girly looking, but happy.
The picture does not do this bag justice, but it’s so darn pretty and soft!
So far I have absolutely no complaints about my bag. The lining is a great pattern, even for a DAWG fan like me, and the amount of padding seems pretty great. I’ve not yet had a chance to use the shoulder strap, but I imagine it will be comfortable when I do get around to that.
I use my bag in the formation they show online, and I carry my Canon Rebel, 18-55mm lens, wallet, phone, keys, some lip gloss, the shoulder strap, and typically my FLIP video camera when I carry the camera bag. The straps really spread the weight out evenly, and even though there is only one zipper pocket inside the bag that seems to be enough for me.
I think the only thing to recognize is just how big the bag is. Even without the long shoulder strap on when I carry this bag it reaches from shoulder to hips. I’m about 5’4″ if that gives you any indication of how big the bag is.
Because of the size I do NOT carry this bag every day like I originally thought I would, but I know this will be the bag I carry when I travel since it can hold everything in a single bag for me. Plus, JoTotes has plenty of other options though if you want a smaller bag.
Definitely a great purchase and a great company that I would recommend if you are looking for, or considering, the purchase of a camera bag / purse combo.

I’m sorry this is late, which really is quite sad given it’s just a photo and now an apology, but I didn’t hop on the computer last night.
Nor did I plan ahead. (Clearly poor planning on my part.)
It’s just I cried all the way home last night because you see I finished the Hunger Games trilogy. And I related to Katniss about her sister Prim. Then I thought of MY cats. Then I sobbed harder.
Then I felt like a total fool, only I couldn’t quit crying and I am quite sure the fellow Atlanta rush hour drivers around me thought I was insane as I had a quite pleasant drive all things considered. Not a single person cut me off.
Anyway – this rock here, its super special. I received this the weekend my world turned upside down and to be really truthful its part of the reason Alex and I made it.
So this rock lives on my nightstand along with the cat claw scratches from peering at the birds outside our window and rather large assortment of notepads none of which have writing in them. Forgive me the late not-nearly wordless enough Wordless Wednesday post.
Hopefully I’ll be back on track and a great deal less hormonal tomorrow.
My in-laws gifted me with the gift of my choice this year. So post-Christmas I hopped on Amazon and I was able to treat myself to a 50mm 1.8/f lens for my camera. Otherwise known as a nifty fifty lens.
I also bought myself a brand new camera strap from Broward Path. I’m taking a picture as soon as my new camera bag arrives to so y’all can get the full effect. I was introduced to Broward Patch thanks to Katie at Confessions of a Young Married Couple. I must say loved my choices and the prices were also super reasonable. Oh and shipping (i.e. time you eagerly examine the mail delivery each day) beat out my Amazon purchase!
In the meantime here are some photos of taken since my new lens has arrived. Nothing spectacular but its rained here EVERY DAY so I’m limited to where I can take these so far. I’m planning on lots more, but um turns out the camera really likes when you remember your memory card. Go figure!
